Peter started later because of the long night before. We finished "Elfentanz" and then made records to play along. At home I tried all the songs we learned and they all were playable. This workshop gave me a pushup for the next year for playing guitar much more. I enyojed my birthday gift very much! Thanks to all followers.

After a long long time I decided to join a
Peter Ratzenbeck workshop. And I enyojed it very much. Many interested guitarists sitting arround Peter and listening to his introducions how to play an adaption of the song "Potatoe juice" which he wrote 30 years ago. My fingers liked it too and until now there are no bubbles!

At last, we, the choir "Stimmquadrat Obsteig", proudly presented our finished CD "Stemming". At the wonderful location "Bernardisaal" in Stams we had a big audience, the room was quite full and some listeners even had no chair, although we had 265 seats. We sang very good and got plenty of applause. Afterwards we offered Prosecco and juice, so the whole audience could talk to each other, and they bought a lot of CDs. If you want to order one, just mail me.

The CD production enters the last steps. I got the production OK from Austro Mechana and the bill for paying 386 EUR for music-licence. On thursday the last editings on the music will be finished, so kdg will get the data. Yesterday we had a meeting to correct the writing / grammar of the booklet. Today I phoned 4 hours and 50 minutes with the designer to fix all errors. We transferred about 10 GB data in that time. The poster and the handout will be finished on sunday, the booklet will be finished on tuesday, so we can deliver the data on wednesday. Finally the presentation of the CD will be on sunday, 15th of June, at Stams / Bernardi-Saal. I hope, most of you will come and listen to a very good concert and buy an excellent CD. It will start at 6 p.m.

On sunday we finished our CD-recording-marathon. After 24 hours of recording we ended up with 16 recorded songs. We had great fun and enjoyed the act. Now we are joyfully looking forward the final master for producing the CD. I finished up with 370 pictures taken during the recording.

On saturday Peter Ratzenbeck played a concert in Barwies that I visited after the recording session of our choir. He knew who I am and what guitar I play and what I am doing. It was a fine "meeting-again". In September he will come for a course and we will meet again. This evening I got a push-up for playing guitar!

On friday we started to record the first CD of my choir. We got an excellent audio-chief who did not let through half a note and half a beginning. So it will be a very good recording. We took three songs on friday and 10 songs on saturday. Every song in a very good quality. But recording the whole day, that is from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., is not easy. So we hav to add sunday to the recording session to get our 19 songs. I wonder how it will end up on sunday.

After the breakfast we sang a last time in an ancient chapel in Tramin. Then we went to Sigmundskron and had three fine hours at the Messner Mountain Museum Firmian. The bus took us home and a wonderful weekend ended.

The cellar party yesterday lasted very long, but no poblem in the morning singing deep notes. A big breakfast opened our day. Then we sang the whole day, sometimes only in groups of the same voices. In the big rehearsal we recorded digitaly the songs of our new CD. It was great. Almost no failures, wonderful sound and happyness all over the choir. In the evening we gave a big concert, recorded it too and the visitor was amazed! Now I will start the second examination of the cellar-bar.

After a short travel to Tramin we reached the castel, got our rooms, had a fine meal and found ourselfs in the first rehearsal. Short time to remember old songs, but then the songs sounded great! The view from my room to the "Kalterersee" ist breathtaking! In the following hours I will explore the cellar-bar...

after neglecting her for over four months I took "felicidad" (my
western guitar) out of her case tonight. at the beginning of today's date
she was quite "
desafinado"
but after a few minutes of tuning we started to have a nice session.
& it's amazing that my fingers (although they have lost the thick skin on the
fingertips) still remember more or less what to do with the strings.

sometimes I think the fingers have their own memory. though I haven't found
out how it works (i.e. what they remember & what they forget).
btw: I'm talking about playing guitar (especially about rehearsing
old songs) just in case you haven't noticed ;-)

today — after more than a week of absence from felicidad — I felt like the
first-guitar-player-ever: so many strings, so many frets, so many fingers.
